Our Mission

Restoring weary shepherds across the United States.

Restoration House is a 501(c)(3) retreat and counseling ministry for pastors and leaders. Based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, we host ministry families for confidential week‑long soul care so they can return home rested and ready to serve. Founded and led by Phil & Lou Walleck we serve pastors and leaders from churches and ministries, including those whose work touches civic life.

Our mission is simple: care for the people who care for everyone else. We do this through spiritual retreats and Christian counseling on Florida’s 30A—giving ministry families space to rest in the Lord and reconnect with one another.

What your gift makes possible

  • A restorative week for a ministry family
Private housing near the beach to sleep, pray, and play as a family.

  • Confidential counseling & coaching
Christ‑centered counseling and coaching for pastors and spouses navigating stress, conflict, grief, or transition.

  • Help that removes financial strain
Groceries, meals, and cleaning fees so stepping away doesn’t add more pressure.

  • A thoughtful environment for soul care
The beauty of 30A—simple tools like bikes, beach access, and being on the water—helps families slow down.

Your gift is an investment in the health of churches, communities, and families.

Dustin & Angie, Texas

Our family of four spent an extended weekend at Restoration House, and it felt like a deep exhale. From the moment we walked in, there was a calm about the place. The kind that doesn’t have to be announced, it’s just there, waiting for you. The home is beautifully designed, filled with light, and full of those small, thoughtful details that make you feel immediately at ease. Slow mornings, bikes rides, and toes in the sand were just what we needed. And having restaurants and a grocery store so close made meals so simple. It was the kind of rhythm that makes you wonder why you ever rush back home. What stood out most was how intentional everything felt, nothing flashy, just hospitality that comes from the heart. The house carries a quiet invitation to rest, to breathe, to remember what matters.By the time we packed up to leave, we weren’t just refreshed, we felt restored. Our kids are already asking when we can go back, and honestly, so are we. Restoration House lives up to its name. It’s the kind of place that sneaks up on you (in the best way) reminding you that rest is holy, beauty matters, and time together is the most restorative gift of all.

Impact so far

Each year we host about 25 ministry families from across the U.S. with Restoration House. Many of these families serve in churches and ministries that influence civic life in their communities. They come tired and stretched thin—and they leave rested, hopeful, and more deeply connected to one another and to the Lord.

Program at a glance

  • Typical stay: 4–7 nights
